As a speaker, the Boom 4 is great, nice clear, well balanced sound with decent bass. Obviously for something this size the bass is not particularly powerful but it is still adequate.I particularly like the design, the outer surface has a nice almost clothlike texture and the big bold volume buttons are fun and functional.The app adds some nice extra features like EQ and a very convenient ability to remotely turn the Boom 4 on or off. The remote power option is really nice but it doesn’t always work as smoothly as I would like. I often have to try to connect with the Boom 4 in my phone settings before trying to power it on remotely but it does eventually work. Battery life is solid too, standby mode barely drains it at all.Other than that, the Boom 4 is a very enjoyable speaker with a lot of power for its size and nice, clear sound quality.

This was a Prime Deals splurge, and I absolutely love it!I have two older Wonderboom 2 speakers that I purchased in 2020, and the battery life in one of them isn’t that great anymore.I decided to upgrade to this model, and the included app is SO helpful!It’s so nice to be able to check how much battery life is left, and charge accordingly.I try to wait until the battery is down to at least 10% or less before recharging, and when I do recharge it, I can check to see when it hits 100% again before I unplug it.With my older speakers, it was a bit of a guessing game as to how much they had been recharged.I use this new speaker daily to listen to music and audiobooks while I work, and am so glad I upgraded!You can also adjust the base, treble, etc. in the app, which has also been very helpful with my audiobooks.There have been some books I’ve listened to that have had the bass oddly high, and it was so easy to adjust that in the app to a more enjoyable listening level for the narrator.

Excellent portable speaker. Loud with good bass, and the app has an equalizer. It connects quickly and has good range even through closed doors. Battery charges fairly quick from 0 and lasts even with the volume up. I bought a renewed version that was in perfect shape and saved 20$

The sound quality is ok, because it is not very loud. At full volume, the battery will be completely dead in 4 hours. At 3/4 volume it will be dead in 5 hours. It doesn’t charge while plugged into a usb automobile cigarette lighter.I bought the mega boom 3, it was certified refurbished, I wasn’t paying attention, a co worker sent me the link, 3 songs , the speaker was rattling, and by the time I got home from work, it was filled with water.I am a city letter carrier in Vegas, I am outside at least 7 hours a day, and just from leaving a cooling towel on the already rattling speaker, it managed to fill this waterproof speaker with a cup of water, and it never worked again.So whether it’s new or refurbished, I can honestly say that Ultimate Ears Boom4 and mega boom 3 are crap.I had a $28 dollar JBL, that was as loud, and took 2years to blow out the speaker.I am assuming the megaboom4 is no better.

Ultimate Ears portable speakers are the best on the market.My original one from 10 years ago still works perfectly, sounds amazing, and the battery still powers the thing for like 8 to 10 hours on a full charge. I use it 2-3 times a week for many hours at a time.I’ve even taken it on multiple inner tube float trips (in a ziplock bag). I’m the most popular guy on the river. I’ve gotten enough free beer to pay for the damn thing.I clean it a few times a year with a damp rag and a shop vac and it still looks brand new, except for some minor polishing on the rubber over power button.I bought the UE Boom 4 to pair with the old one for stereo sound.It’s incredible. The sound is amazing!If this thing holds up like the original, I’ll probably never need another portable speaker.Except, I’m probably going to buy 2 more to have surround sound stereo wherever I go and whenever I want it.Can’t say enough good things about this company and their products.Buy one. You’ll love it.

Excellent! I should have bought this earlier, but I bought the 2010 speaker of Logitech 305 at $438.91, although I got to know it is merely around $50 than and now. While Logitech Speaker breaks every time when I hear the sound, this speaker gives me excellent audio. Finally, I feel comfortable about using a speaker and don’t need to use my headphone.
I have used a JBL Flip 5 for a few years and am still happy with it. I wanted another bluetooth speaker to use in my workshop. The sound samples from Flip 6 were good in the bass but sounded too hot in the treble for me. The Wonderboom 4 also sounds like the high end has too much sizzle for my taste. The Flip 7 sounds a lot better but is $50 more expensive than the current Boom 4 at $139 CAD.Note:The Boom 4 price has moved back up to $199. Flip 7 might be the better deal at this price point.Boom 4 seems to really shine in the clear and dynamic presentation of a natural midrange. The Boom 4 low end rolls off a bit more than the Flip 5 but retains a punchy presence. The Boom 4 really outshines the Flip 5 in its clarity and dynamics. This little speaker seems very well suited for my listening tastes of classical, jazz and other laid back styles. The UE app has battery indicator, a nice remote power on feature and a simplified EQ adjustment. It can also control playlists from Apple and apparently some others.This speaker will please people with similar tastes but probably not satisfy younger beach party listeners whose contemporary playlists appreciate the boosted bass and treble frequencies of other designs.
