Awesome case! Great quality and well worth it
Since I was first browsing for cases for my iPhone 17 Pro, I had been eyeing this case, but because of the price tag and hesitation regarding the silicone material, I held off. I waited for some more reviews, whether it be on Amazon and on other platforms. As I watched more video reviews about this case and more experiences of people using this case, it was tempting me more and more despite the relatively high price tag. When it came down in price to be $41, I decided to pull the trigger, and I’m glad I did.For one, this is my first ever TORRAS case and it is really great. I went with the deep navy color to pair with my cosmic orange iPhone. I saw the other “orange” color, but I felt like I wanted something with a bit more contrast and to give my phone a subtle yet unique look. White was also an interesting choice but I figured that could get dirty quickly. So I chose deep navy and I don’t regret it. The color in real life does translate pretty well to what it looks like in reality. Now to using the case, it’s really great. Easy to put the phone in and the fit is really good. The phone will not fall out of the case unless you’re purposely trying to take it out. I’ve owned this for about a week as I review this, and no scratches and even after some drops to concrete, it has held up. Fingernails don’t scratch the material at all, and the metal kickstand is holding up. No scratches on it and magnet and mechanism is holding up as good as the day I got it.In terms of the camera plateau, I’ve been a fan of cases that keep it open. Given that Apple advertised a lot about the camera plateau for better thermal dissipation, I suppose this helps. But don’t get confused, the case does have a good lip that’s raised a good amount above the cameras, so putting down the phone’s back to the table won’t come close to scratching the table. Now for the kickstand, which I’ve never used before, it’s really good. The magnets are plenty strong, so MagSafe accessories stay on well. That was another thing I was originally skeptical of, where MagSafe accessories may not hold on well or may pull the kickstand away, but I have not ran into any issues using MagSafe with the ring and the case. Wireless charging works perfectly through the case and kickstand, and the kickstand holds the phone very well. It has a variety of angles it can rotate to, and the ring itself is attached to a circular pivot point on the bottom part where it can spin in 90° increments.Protection is great on the case overall. Corners and back are plenty protected while not making the phone much bulkier. For those people who like resting their pinky finger at the bottom of the phone, near the charging port, it doesn’t dig or cut at your finger so it is overall very pleasant feeling when using it like that. The port cutout is also plenty big, where it fits every cable I’ve thrown at it. This includes slimmer cables like the Apple cable and ones from Anker, all the way up to thicker thunderbolt/usb-c data cables, they all fit and can be used perfectly.Lastly, buttons and overall using the phone with the case works great. The buttons have a slight metal feeling finish, similar to the back kickstand ring’s material, and they feel great. Easy to press and clicks well. There is a slight front lip on the front of the case that prevents the screen from directly touching the table or whatever surface you’re placing it on. The lip isn’t the biggest, but it is slightly bigger than the lip you would fine in things like spigen cases and apple cases. With a screen protector on the lip is less exaggerated, but it still protects the screen even if you have a screen protector.Overall, I’m a big fan of this case after initially being hesitant about the price and a few other things. Sure, it is a bit on the steep side in terms of price, but it sure is worth it in this case! (pun intended)

A win for Torras
So I’ve had the Ostand Q3 silicone case for the last three weeks and I’ve handled it, and tried it out using my iPhone 14 ProMax (as the 17 and 14 are close in size), and these are my findings.I like that Torras’ retained the use of embedded buttons to help prevent entry points for dust (although I miss being able to pick and choose optional color buttons).I like the feel/texture of the case. It’s a little slippery, but otherwise feels good in my hands. My worry is that over time it might become tacky like some plastics can get and then it becomes sticky leaving residue on your fingers. I have a TV remote control like that. [I have been assured by Torras support since I posted this that that “tacky/sticky” problem won’t happen [see next], “We added a nano-coating to the surface: this not only extends the life of the liquid silicone but also keeps the texture smooth (and makes wiping off dirt or fingerprints super easy). And don’t worry about it getting sticky over time—we’ve upgraded our manufacturing process with high-quality liquid silicone. While some plastics or low-grade silicones do turn sticky, our material prevents that, so it’ll stay comfortable to hold for months.”I was able to fit my iPhone in the case however as the iPhone 14 Pro Max is slightly smaller than an iPhone 17 Pro Max, it’s not a snug fit. But it’s not terribly loose either [I don’t plan on using it full time with my 14 Pro, it was just for testing purposes].Button response (volume and power) are responsive (even with the phone being my 14 Pro Max) was very good.I like the O-ring stand it’s stiff, which is good. I put the stand in a position and the phone retains that angle over time. It doesn’t slip down or fall down, it holds its position.I suggested to the support team they should make note for people that the O ring can only fully go flush with the phone in one direction or the other when you open it up or extend it. That was the only thing I noticed I was like “ok this won’t go that direction”, but I get it, it has to be the way that it is because otherwise the stand won’t stay as a stand” and the phone will fall down flat. Think about it like a soda can tab, you pull it up and out and it goes to this like 90° or whatever angle and then it doesn’t go any further. Don’t force it you’ll break it.It’s a good opening for the camera lenses I guess, that being said none of my lenses were blocked so I was able to take pictures with it on, and they were somewhat protected (again because I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max the camera arrangement is different than that of the iPhone 17 Pro Max).I like the fact that the branding is subtle and it’s not overly large (I like that, actually quite a lot). It’s in a good location in my opinion, and I imagine that based on designers input they situated as such so you can still read it to showcase whose brand case it is especially when you have the stand holding the phone up for reading or angled for watching videos.I did note though that the magnet inside the case is not as strong with the heavier weighted 14 Pro Max in securing it to a magnetic surface (i.e. my cabinet door) as seen in the video. You can see that the case and phone slide down the surface of the door which is not a good thing. Now it’s possible that it might work better with the 17 Pro Max (and stay in one place) as that has an aluminum body versus a steel body, but I don’t know, I don’t have one to test with..Overall I like the case, I wish I could have gotten one in black, but I get making it the color it is goes with Apples decision to make a dark blue iPhone Pro Max. I was curious as to the hierarchy of cases between this one and the one with the “air cushion corners” as that seems like it might be more desirable to buyers as it’s got some parts that are clear, and seems to be more rugged to deal with drops (I didn’t test my phone and the Torras case in that way as I was sure my phone would pop out).
