    Future Proof Garmin Watch
Interested in a watch that helps you track what matters in life and gets out of the way with everything else? Look no further than the Garmin watches. This Venu 4 is Garmin’s latest release of the Venu series which brings it up to par with the latest Watch OS and features so it’s future proof in an otherwise rocky mess of watches for those who have had prior generations. I typically buy my Garmin knowing the features it came with when I bought it, so I’m not really offended during this transition, but I figured it was best to be honest about it. If you seek out the latest and greatest features, you have to invest in a generation of watches that have the new Garmin Watch OS on them. This is one of those devices. The Venu 4 improves upon the 3 with the newer OS and more consistent features across watch while still focusing on some of the smart watch experience such as calls and messaging. I don’t really use those features and use my watch entirely for well-being and fitness tracking where this watch shines.I really appreciate that Garmin invests not only in the Connect Mobile App but also the Connect Web App and integration with so many 3rd party services. I can use this watch to track strength workouts, running, advanced running dynamics, yoga, meditation and so many other fitness routines and programs and if you use the built in training coach programs, they have built in guides on how to do the routine.Again, I’m not going to hate on Garmin for a rocky transition. I’ve lost a lot of weight, gained a lot of fitness and got more than what I paid for out of my Garmin Watches and I look forward to their technology and services improving in the future now that they will have a common OS and easier method to keep things current. For me, there is no better watch for focusing on health, wellbeing and integrating with all the 3rd party services people have from coaching to training analysis and training program synchronization. I’m so glad I don’t have to have “an app for that” and can sit at my desk or on my laptop and explore my data and integrate with services like strava and runalyze as well – but not depend on them for having that desktop web experience.

Excellent for health tracking, accurate sleep data, and great battery life
I’ve been using the Garmin Venu 4 daily for several weeks, and it’s easily one of the best smartwatches I’ve owned. The setup was simple and intuitive, and the interface is responsive and easy to navigate.I use it primarily for health and performance tracking, especially sleep data, heart rate, and recovery insights. The sleep tracking has been spot on, even distinguishing between REM, light, and deep sleep accurately. It’s helped me identify how my CPAP use and workouts affect my rest and overall energy. The Body Battery feature is surprisingly useful and aligns closely with how I actually feel day to day.The watch feels premium and fits comfortably on the wrist. I appreciate the slightly larger screen and clean layout of the data fields during workouts. Battery life is excellent; I typically get five to six days per charge with continuous tracking, notifications, and GPS use.Connectivity with my phone is solid, and syncing to Garmin Connect is quick and reliable. I also love that it pairs seamlessly with my fitness and nutrition tracking setup.Overall, the Garmin Venu 4 strikes a great balance between functionality, comfort, and battery life. If you care about accurate sleep analysis, reliable health data, and overall ease of use, it’s a fantastic choice. Highly recommended.I upgraded from a Venu 2, but a new user will find the experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend a screen protector, or hard shell case. This model relies significantly more on the touchscreen functionality instead of physical buttons, so a deep scratch could render your investment moot. Don’t skimp on this! I spent 15 bucks on a screen protector and its already paid for itself twice in two weeks of ownership, and I am very careful.

    Quality product with decent privacy.
I like Garmin watches and products because they are generally (so far) not as invasive as other app supported technologies. They do not ask for my contacts like others and they are not constantly upselling me or acting as an online venue to sell other people’s products. Based on my interactions and use of the technology, I assume/hope they are not selling and profiting of my information (Note: I think any company that acts as an on invited broker of people’s information is a parasite on the economy and should be put outbid business). So far Garmin is simply selling premium products and at a mostly competitive price which I am happy to pay for. I tend to break or lose things on a regular basis, which is which is why I now own the Venu 4. As such, as long as Garmin continues to act like an adult and not steal my information and sell or trade to others, I will continue to purchase their products and services. Until recently they have tended to bundle services with their products, they’re exploring, other pay to play prescriptions what I’m not a fan of. I would rather Garmin stick with simply including the services and features in the purchase price of the item for which some of us are willing to pay a little bit more for. If they want to add future services, then I would hope they offer these as a one time purchase versus a monthly subscription. I enjoy and recommend the Venu 4. The seller was very fast and the item was described accurately. Recommendations all around. Maybe one day I will spring for the Fenix 9 (if or when it comes out).

Bright screen and easy to use with a long battery life
The watch is easy to set up and begin using. The prompts on the screen make it easy to start using. The screen is bright and easy to see in bright sunlight and in darkened spaces. It is brighter than my spouse’s Venu 3s. The LED flashlight is a nice addition. It pairs easily with the phone. There are many faces and apps that can be downloaded into the watch using the Garmin ConnectIQ app. I have no complaints about the appearance or function of this watch. The battery life is about 12 days unless the GPS function is used. 5-6 hours of GPS use will use about 20% of the battery. This amount can be recharged fully in less than 30 minutes.

This is my 4th Garmin smartwatch, my last one was a Vivoactive 3. After two days, I am absolutely amazed. I love the quality of the screen, the easy integration with iPhone and most importantly the battery life. I do a daily hour run and I estimate the battery should be good 3 to 4 days without charge. I truly recommend this watch.
