High-Quality Fast Secure SSD Drive, You Get What You Paid For
I bought the 2TB version because they were all out of the 1TB version, and this is a fantastic product. It was way smaller than I expected, which is a good thing. It comes in its own small plastic case, as well as an small extension thing if you wish to put it on the back of your phone. It is an extremely secure connection when plugging into anything, its not loose whatsoever. It also comes with a few extra labels. As of functionality, it works extremely well. I was able to record Apple ProRes Log footage directly from my iPhone to the SSD, and there was absolutely no delay. When recording in 4k 25fps, it had around 9 hours of straight recording time. When transferring files from the drive to the computer, it also worked just fine, and with the fast speed they advertised. The design is really nice, with some ridges to grip when you pull it out. Its extremely easy to use, and I recommend watching a tutorial online if you feel unsure. The actual quality of the material is nice, and it comes with a rubber-like material around the whole thing to protect it from damage. Overall you get exactly what you paid for.

Best mobile HD’s in the industry today!
Hands down one of the best mobile HD’s in the industry today. Has a very small imprint when using you mobile device. The hub has ports useful for adding usb-c microphones, a charing port. I also love that they include a usb c to usb c angled adapter for ease of use also. Read & Write speed are 1050 mb but I feel like it’s faster.

Awesome little extra storage solution
Compact and fast. Currently using it as an external hard drive for steam games on a handheld pc. I haven’t had any issues so far. Would definitely buy it again.

Really good product with one small flaw…
Good piece of gear. Works well and the speed and capacity of the drive is amazing considering the size and form factor. The only small complaint, and the reason I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5 is this… the hub is a little wonky with the PD power port. And what I mean is this, when I have a mic plugged into it along with the drive, it can’t always be depended upon to recognize the microphone. Sometimes, if you plug in the power supply to the PD port, it will help, and recognize the mic… But not always. It’s very spotty where the power supply port and microphone plug-in are involved.

Small size big storage
Small package and is not in the way. Doesn’t fit well with case on iPhone but still usable. Easy to get files off phone and store to be seen on any other device that has usb c

the expansion port doesn’t allow pro res
This is a finicky product. Plug it directly into an iphone and all is good for pro res.Plug it in with a port extension (for power) and you’re sol. No pro res. Wish I had returned it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Excellent storage option for phone video recording.
I use this with an iPhone 16 pro to record pro res footage and it works flawlessly. The phone recognizes it immediately and chooses it to store these files automatically. I’ve recorded pro res continually for over 20 minutes without a pause and experienced no problems. It does get a little warm but nothing to cause concern. The only downside is that you must use the supplied connector to attach it to anything, for some reason the usb c connector on the item is not tight enough to directly connect to a standard usb c port so the supplied connector must be used. Kinda awkward but not a huge hassle. Overall a great storage option.

iOS26 doesn’t like this drive
I loved this when I bought it. Since the iOS 26 upgrade, the phone doesn’t recognize it. Tried to reformat the drive with no luck. Deleted the drive and tried to reinstall the software, but Apple wouldn’t let me. Something has to be wrong in the new iOS 26 that doesn’t want this drive to work anymore. If Lexar would like to clarify, that would be great, because I would love to go back to using this drive.

I have been using this Lexar Portable SSD for my video editing work with iPhone 15 Pro and MacBook Pro, and I am extremely impressed with the performance! The read speeds of 1050MB/s and write speeds of 1000MB/s are truly remarkable for a portable device. Working with Apple ProRes files is now seamless – no more waiting for long transfer times or worrying about dropped frames during editing. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection is fast and reliable. The rugged design gives me confidence when traveling with it, and the compact size means it fits easily in my camera bag. The 1TB storage capacity is perfect for storing multiple 4K video projects. The hub feature is incredibly useful as it provides additional ports when working on location. Build quality feels premium and solid. For professional content creators and anyone working with large files, this SSD is a game-changer. Highly recommend for video editors, photographers, and content creators!

This works extremely well, the hub is brilliant for other things other than the hard drive as well, however, as a package, and how it fits on the phone is excellent. In my opinion, it is definitely overpriced, and that is the only drawback to it.It is what they advertise, and as you’ve seen other people do reviews, it’s true that it’s great. As long as you don’t mind paying for it, you won’t be disappointed with it.
