Excellent 2-in-1 Solution: Security Camera + Smart Bulb
I’ve been using this camera/bulb for a week on the back door of my apartment, and I must say, considering its price, it has impressed me. This Wyze smart bulb with built-in camera offers 2K HD (2304 × 1296) resolution, allowing you to see details clearly even at night thanks to its color night vision.Installation was very easy: it screws into a standard E26 light socket, with no extra wires or special mounts needed. Once installed, just set up the Wyze app, connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (note: it doesn’t support 5 GHz), and it’s ready to go.What I liked:Image quality: the daytime video is very sharp, and the wide field of view covers a good portion of the back area. The two-way audio feature is a great plus, allowing me to hear and speak through the app.The build quality feels solid, with well-assembled materials — nothing fragile like other similar devices. The dimmable bulb up to 800 lumens allows using it for regular lighting or ambient light, in addition to the camera function.Compatibility with Alexa and Google Home, making it easy to integrate into a smart home system.Good weather resistance, suitable for outdoor installation.Things to keep in mind:Like any device that depends on a bulb, if someone turns off the switch or circuit, the camera also turns off — make sure it always has power. While it can be adjusted with a telescopic rod, it does not have automatic pan/tilt, so you need to position it manually. It only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, which could be a limitation if your network is dual-band and doesn’t separate 2.4 GHz.SD card not included — to make full use of local storage, you’ll need to purchase one separately, or consider paying for cloud storage. Conclusion:If you’re looking for a practical and compact solution to monitor the exterior without installing extra cameras, the Wyze Bulb Cam does the job very well. It has excellent image quality, solid construction, and smart features that make it ideal for any home. It also offers great value for the price, considering everything it integrates into a single device.Highly recommended for anyone who values practicality, design, and performance.

Best value and easy way to add a security camera
I can’t say enough about this camera that has been recently added to the WYZE Family of quality products. This is extremely easy to set up and add to your existing WYZE app for additional coverage to secure your home or business. I recommend it to anyone interested. It is extremely important to determine that you the correct light fixtures that it can be mounted. Basically, if your light fixture is the type that the bulb is enclosed the housing, you may need to change the fixture. The light is very bright and the camera picture is very good. Plus you can purchased a WYZE light bulb that can be integrated with the system for light coordination. There is no remote pan/tilt with the camera in this first model. You have to set, forget, and adjust it to get the picture angle. Overall, best easiest way to add a security camera at your home. Highly recommended!!! Don’t forget to put a Mini SD CARD if you want some type of storage.

Fantastic cam-light with a few caveats
Wyze continues to come up with innovative stuff at surprisingly high quality for very reasonable prices. This bulb cam is no exception and, in general, I highly recommend it. It’s a great camera that requires no wires. Unfortunately, it misses some easy opportunities that they can hopefully address in future firmware and app updates.First the pros, because it is pretty great:- screws into a standard E26 lightbulb socket- has great quality video for the price @ 2K resolution- switches to night vision automatically- can be set to turn on the light when detection motion (or only when detecting people/vehicles/pets/packages with a subscription)- Wyze app notifications of movement and “event detections” are quick, usually within 5 seconds, even with my phone’s battery saver on.- importantly, just like their cameras, the app doesn’t feel cheap. It looks good and works very well.- LOTS of customization options in the app, from editing detection/exclusion zones to schedules to lightbulb behavior and more. This is a pro if you’re a bit tech savvy and enjoy seeing things up perfectly but can be a con if elaborate settings can get you frustrated.- you can set notifications, alarms, etc. to be inactive when your phone is at home and then automatically activate when you leave. I haven’t tested how this works if my wife is still home, though. I might freak her out.- no subscription necessary if you’re looking to avoid one and the base-level subscription prices are very reasonable (currently $20 per camera per year).Cons:- the light can only be controlled through the Wyze app or by the camera’s motion detection, which is annoying. It’s not available as a smart light in Google Home, Alexa etc., so you can’t turn it on, off or adjust the brightness easily.- the camera extends about an inch, which is great, but it wasn’t enough to get above the rim of my very common, basic floor lamp’s shade. This caused the video to get blown out by the glare on the shade, making everything beyond it dark and difficult to see. Buying and attaching two 1″ E26 socket extenders solved this problem by raising the cam up past the lamp shade.- the camera feed is hit or miss in the Google Home app. It works perfectly in the Wyze app, but it can take up to a minute to show up in the Home app and even then there’s a 50%+ chance that it will give up and remain blank.- the “smart detection events” aren’t all that smart. They mostly do detect people, cars, etc. correctly, but it considers them to be moving (triggering an event with recording/notification) if branches or shadows nearby move or a light turns on or off. I have a cover on one car in the driveway and it ripples when it’s windy, also triggering an event. You can mess with detection sensitivity, but there isn’t a perfect middle ground between detecting all relevant movement and eliminating most false positives.- it’s surprisingly difficult to fully understand what you get for the different subscription levels. If you install an SD card, you don’t need one, but there are three subscription levels above that which offer varying levels of cloud storage and AI features that aren’t fully explained.Since the light itself can’t be controlled easily, I’ve set mine up to turn on at 10% brightness (it gets pretty bright!) 30 minutes before sunset and turn off at midnight. At midnight, I then set it to become motion-activated, turning on for 3 minutes whenever it detects a person so that it doesn’t activate when one of the pets walks by.Overall, great, inexpensive, innovative camera. If everything above looks good (or acceptable) to you, you’ll probably love it.

Another simple to setup product by Wyze
Easy setup if you have done Wyze cameras in the past it’s up and running under 5 minutes. Clarity is great, and the pull down bar works great to get the camera clear of my external fixtures I bought. I slaved it to a few of just the plain Wyze bulbs. It’s working as intended. Dusk to dawn synched exterior lighting. Bulbs added easy, but were fussy about getting firmware push initially. Prior I had to used the Wyze lightbulb Socket control in combination with a V3 Wyze camera. Lots of wires, ugly install. This is clean and easy.

Worth the wait, from USA to UAE… packaging is excellent and no damage at all after receiving the product. Set Up? No hassle, easy to set up and friendly user using the wyze apps. Quality? Audio a bit delay in the sound but acceptable still, Video is almost the same for SD and 2K definition no difference at all. Design? Absolutely unique and perfect..
