Great for the price
Pretty impressed by this speaker for the price. Had a low end soundbar years ago from LG that couldn’t get half as loud and had no bass. I wasn’t expecting much out of this, but am impressed by the volume and bass levels. This won’t get any awards for fidelity, but I don’t think anyone is looking for that at this price.Some have mentioned, including the manufacturer, that it sounds best through the optical connection. I have this hooked up through HDMI ARC, so I can just use one remote. If this diminishes the sound quality at all, I don’t think you would guess it without hearing it both ways.

Amazing sound bar for an unbelievably low price!
This sound bar from Wohome has been wonderful, and we’ve been very happy. We had been wanting one for some time, probably more than a year. I’m glad we did our homework and waited until we found this one.The 38” length is the perfect size for a 55” TV, and the 105dB output is perfect in a large great room. It has superior quality with a total of 6 built-in speakers and provides a rich full sound. The built-in subwoofer produces a deep bass. The sound bar offers pre-set equalizer modes for music, movie, and default. It also has adjustments for bass and treble. It sounds great for tv, movies, and music.Hookup of the sounder was fairly simple with the easy-to-read instructions provided. I am a 65-year old woman and completed the connections and startup easily. The sound bar was up and running in a few minutes. Operation is very straightforward.The sound bar includes options for many different audio connections on the back of the sound bar. It has Optical, USB, RCA, Aux, and ARC(HDMI) ports. It is also a nice option that you can use the 5.0 Bluetooth connection to play music from your phone or other bluetooth devices.The ARC port has been invaluable, and I can’t say enough about that. ARC is the best option if you have a newer tv model that supports it. There are a lot of sound bars on the market, with a higher price tag, that do not include an ARC port. Once you are connected to the ARC port, and you have selected it as your Input, your tv remote control turns the sound bar on/off with the tv and adjusts the sound level as well. I’ve seen several complaints about needing a separate remote. However, when using the ARC option, the remote is not necessary unless you want to fine tune your sound preferences or change the input (to bluetooth for instance). However, if needed, the remote works flawlessly and allows you to customize the sound to your preferences.There are a number of comments and questions related to the speaker volume. After the speaker is turned off, the volume is then way too high when it comes back on. We had the same problem. Some people have stated that their volume came on at the maximum level, but our volume came on every time at a 37 level. You can contact Customer Support at Wohome through their website or by sending an email directly to support@wohomeshop.com. Be sure to include your Amazon order # for their reference, the model number (S29), an accurate description of your problem, your name, and your email. They responded with instructions and an update file that I could upload to the sound bar through a flash drive to the the USB port. It took them less than 4 hours to respond. The instructions were easy to understand, and I had this “fix file” applied within minutes. The fix worked, and our volume now comes on at an acceptable level.We have truly enjoyed the Wohome S29 sound bar. I would recommend it to anyone, and I was once a real audio snob, if not an audiophile. We really didn’t see the need to mount the sound bar, even though hardware is included. We decided to leave it on the console, and it is very attractive. There has also been an unexpected added benefit, because the sound bar has kept the cat away from sitting and walking in front of the tv!

Not as capable as other Wohome sound bar
We have an older Wohome sound bar that is around 30 inches long and a separate subwoofer attached to it. After using it for about 2-3 years we’ve been very impressed with it. However, this newer and smaller sound bar is not as impressive. Perhaps having it connected to a computer to enhance the audio output would be a good use, or even with a small TV. However, for a home theater TV setup this newer sound bar doesn’t compare well to the older version. It is a good price though for a smaller setup.

Great Sound, larger than expected, inputs disappointing and a display would be nice
The sound is great out of this unit and for the price, it’s an amazing value. It’s larger than you think, the side is about the size of a softball, if not a big taller. I wasn’t expecting that, however it makes a deeper bass than many smaller sound bars and for the price, its really amazing on the treble and base. The wall mount works really well, and with most sound bars the input location in consideration with wall mounting isn’t too bad, just hook up cables before doing the mounting. The bluetooth does work really well on the unit and is easy to connect to without a pairing password.Now for the negatives, the inputs are disappointing. It doesn’t have an HDMI out, so if you feed HDMI into it for sound, there’s no video out to a tv. So unless your TV has audio out via HDMI while also still accepting inputs on other HDMI connectors at the same time it’s an issue. The best option is the TSLink Fiber, so make sure your TV has a fiber out or what ever video device your using it for. If your using more than one AV device like TV Streaming plus another Streaming or cable box, then you will need TV TSLink Out most likely. The other slightly disappointing factor is the lack of a display. You don’t know what input your on and have to blindly cycle through them without a display. It does have 3 sound modes, but again no display to know which one your on. I’d for sure buy again, 4 stars due to lack of inputs and display which makes it not perfect, but I’d give it 4.5 if I could.
