    Great starter camera
I enjoy this camera. I like the body style because it isn’t super huge. The kit lenses work well. I have fun using the zoom lens. It’s a great camera to use to learn how to use a lot of the features on Sony cameras. I have several older Minolta MD manual lenses, so I love that I can still use them with an inexpensive adapter for a vintage look or to use a faster 50mm prime lens.

    Good but explore options
There is nothing wrong with the camera upon arrival. It works great and is brand new. Although, after getting into the camera community I regret buying this package instead of buying a “Body Only” full frame camera. This camera has a cropped sensor which changes the perception of any lens you add to it. Do your own research on this and youll understand more. But if I could, I would go back and probably buy a sony a7R or a7iii which are full frame cameras, so that my expensive lenses ive bought will have their full potential. Currently I have full frame lenses with a cropped sensor camera body. It still is great quality but full frame is definitely worth the price jump if youre interested in doing good photography. If youre only buying this camera for like the random family picture or just to have on hand– then its fine for what it is. Otherwise, use your money wiser and buy a full frame. Dont upgrade later its just more of a hassle.

Durable through years with high quality images.
Have had this camera for many years and it still takes amazing photos with no issues. Quickly transfers photos and videos to your phone with no direct connections using an easy to use app.

Camera is fine just don’t buy the bundle!
I purchased this late 2024 because I had been borrowing a friends camera. I held out writing a review so I can take it on a couple trips. It’s a good cameras for beginners (which I am) but I was disappointed that you can’t transfer photos using the app the way you can with a canon. I also bought the bundle with the extra lens and that stopped working within the second use. Camera is great but it was near impossible to get replacement for the lens that stopped working. I would buy the camera again but not the bundle, that was a waste. I would just buy the lens separate so it’s easy to rerun if it stops working. The camera just stopped reading it, what a bummer.

Había ocupado cámaras réflex de gama de entrada de canon, al cambiarme a Mirrorless estoy fascinado con el tamaño y calidad que maneja Sony en foto y video, es de igual forma una excelente cámara si estás iniciando en la fotografía.

Many people might contemplate between A6000 vs A6100. Do not buy the A6000. Yes it is a good camera but the improvements are certainly worth the asking price of 6100 and if you have the budget and if you are a sports/ bird shooter, that A6600 is worth investing on due to the in body stabilization. For everyone else this is a good entry point to mirrorless compared to other brands because of the larger lens eco system. The eye detection and tracking AF is one of the most useful features this model has compared to A6000.Compared to an A6400. a6400 has more video profiles, better build quality and a higher resolution EVF and that’s it. The sensor and AF system is basically the same.Compared To an A6600. Apart from the features mentioned above. It has a bigger battery which almost lasts 3 times. Inbuilt image stabilization, Eye AF in video but it is more heavier and lacks inbuilt flash while the image sensor and AF system is being virtually the same as of a A6100, which is only half the price, body only.Even if you choose any of these, one of the first lens that I recommend is Sigma 30mm f 1.4 DC DN. Excellent lens at an unbeatable price. Gone are the days when third party lens sucked. The new Sigma ART series lens for FF are giving the G masters a run for their money. Happy shooting.
