Two months in, still works great. Excellent value.
This is a USB 3.0 card reader with 3 USB 3.0 ports and various card reader slots. It’s about the size of a credit card that’s around a half inch thick, and it has a 2.5 foot long cable (pretty close to exactly). It’s made of plastic but seems reasonably solid. I wouldn’t step on it though.I bought this about 2 months ago to help me upgrade some old PCs. I don’t have USB 3 ports on them, so I wasn’t able to get the most out of this device, but I could plug multiple things into it at once and have them all recognized and able to interact. I can also say that this is definitely faster than my old card reader. In a USB 2 port, I’m getting about as good of speeds as I could hope for. When I was shopping around for card readers, I saw lots of reviews where people had issues with the reader killing their card. Thus far, after two months of regular use, I have had no issues. The manufacturer promises strong support and a good warranty, but I have not yet had to test that. The build quality seems good, and the cable has a nice braided sheath. Also, there is a velcro cable tie that includes the support email address, which I think is a nice touch. For $16, I think this card reader is a really good value, assuming it continues to hold up to use. It’s plug and play, and I had no issues with using it with Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 10. The largest capacity device that I had attached was a 1 tb SSD, and that worked fine. While I don’t have any complaints, an aluminum housing and a USB-C port would be nice in a future iteration. It may even be good to have a 2nd microSD port considering the fact that so many devices use those cards, though you can put a microSD card in an SD card adapter, and you can get a USB 3 to USB-C adapter. Compact Flash seems to be mostly for certain kinds of cameras, so a lot of people won’t need that, but I appreciate having that there as I do have a camera with that kind of memory card. I’m not sure how necessary the MS slot is as I think that’s for a Sony proprietary card, and I’m not sure if many devices still use that, but it is nice to have, I’m sure, as sometimes you need to access older tech.

Perfection!
I didn’t have to download any drivers or programs which is great because my computer is windows 11 in safety mode. So it only allows Microsoft apps and software! Can’t take it out of mode because it messes everything up(learned from a huge mistake on another laptop)Perfect size for travel and also takes up very little desk space witch is a plus for meI love that it was super easy plug inland play.Great high quality beautiful product. Even came with a plastic protection for the shiny top.The cord is amazing it’s woven fabric type cord so it’s not easily damaged, also has a wrap for cord so if you need to travel and store.the price is completely amazing for this pieceConnects easily and super functional.

Solid product at a great price
This is a tiny (85 x 55 x 15 mm) little box with slots for SD, micro SD, compact flash, and memory stick. There are also three USB 3.0 type A ports. I was surprised at the build quality, especially the braided cable with good strain relief. Everything worked perfectly from the moment I plugged it into a USB port on my Windows 11 computer. I have tested USB flash drives, several SD cards, and a micro SD card. Everything works as expected, and the card readers do in fact operate at USB 3 speeds (see attached photos). If you plug the reader into a USB 2.0 connector, it will still work at the lower speed. For the price you can’t beat it.

Efficient micro SD card reader
I bought this card reader primarily to replace my old one. While recently transferring some files to a new micro SD I noticed that I was getting extremely slow read/write speeds with my old reader. With a 3.0 USB this reader performs much better and I was getting the read/write speeds more in line with what I expected. You can see the jump in speed per my two screenshots, these were obtained using the same micro SD card but the first one was from the Warrky reader while the second is from using the old one. I can’t speak to the other ports, as I haven’t tried to use them yet (and I’ll probably never use the older flash memory ports), but I imagine the extra USB 3.0 ports might come in handy. As far as build quality goes, it’s pretty nice. It has a braided cable which is always appreciated and while the box is plastic it seems to be a higher quality plastic, plus I imagine a metal casing might cause heat issues. The end of the USB also comes with a little plastic cap, it’s nothing fancy, but it’s a nice touch considering most of these sorts of things I buy don’t come with any kind of protection at all for the plug when it’s not in use. I also noticed the micro SD goes in and out of the port pretty easily, I don’t have to push hard to get it in and I don’t feel like it will get stuck in there either, but it still feels secure, not loose or anything.I mainly bought this for use with micro SD cards, and while I looked at smaller readers initially every single one seem to have at least one review where the reader melted the card, which made me a bit nervous as I do a lot of bulk transferring of large files. Some people suggested it might have to do with the compact size of those readers so I wanted to buy a larger one and eventually settled on the Warrky reader. I’m pleased to say that I don’t think heat will be an issue with this reader. I transferred some files for 1+ hr and the reader only got a little warm, but not hot, it was still comfortable to the touch (although I’ve only used one port at a time so far). Overall though I’m pretty pleased with this reader and it’s been working quite well for the purpose I bought it for.

I’ve come across WARRKY before, having one of their USB-C to HDMI cables. I like their aesthetic, good quality cable braiding and a focus on performance. This card reader shares some of the quality of other products, although the plastic casing isn’t particularly high quality in this instance and the colour is more ‘grey’ than the picture would suggest.Aesthetics aside, the reader has a total of 3 USB ports and 3 card slots. At a technical level is it essentially a USB 3.2 Gen1 4 port hub, with the 4th port wired to the card slots. It also implements a backwards compatible USB 2.1 hub for older devices under the covers. The card reading is implemented by a Genesys Logic chipset. For cards, the USB3.2 Gen1 speed is potentially excessive, essentially the limitation will be the card itself, the interface speed of USB3.2 Gen1 is 5Gbps, which equates to 625MB/s. The fastest UHS-II SD cards peak at around 300MB/s. Although there is of course the possibly of reading multiple cards simultaneously, along with USB devices, thereby filling the available bandwidth.I tested a couple of devices in the reader.SanDisk Ultra USB3.0 32GB reported sequential read of 146MB/s and write of 54MB/sSanDisk Extreme 64GB V30 A2 SD Card reported sequential read of 89MB/s and write of 85MB/sAsides from synthetic benchmarks, everything feels snappy, even on drives and cards with many thousands of small files. For myself, I don’t need the extreme potential speeds offered by this device, however, having recently upgraded my PC I’ve made a conscious effort to ensure all attached hubs, readers and KVM offer a baseline of 5Gbps speed – so as to not introduce any bottlenecks when hubs are wired in series. This reader fits the bill nicely.I’ve seen a few reviews unhappy with orientation of some of the ports, that is card and USB devices have to be inverted. I don’t see this as an issue, I’ve had no problems inserting any card or devices into the reader. If anything the included LED is a little gimmicky, it doesn’t really serve any purpose. It is supposed to indicate power, recognition and reading – but it’s an unnecessary feature and not particularly clear. If you insert a drive and it works, it works – I suspect if it didn’t you would just reinsert it.Pleased with this unit, will update review should longevity be an issue.
