An in depth review
Given I have only had this monitor for 2 weeks things can happen. With that in mind, this monitor so far has been a wonderful purchase.Starting with the positives:- starting with what I find the most important, the colors! Wow is what first came to my mind when I booted this thing up. The colors are vibrant, the monitor is bright, and visuals are quite clear. I have another 1440p monitor from a well known brand and the colors on the SANSUI blow it out of the water!- Secondly the 240-260 native reference rate is excellent! I play a couple games quite competitively and having that higher refresh rate is great! There is a common misconception that the human eye can’t see more than 60hz or 120hz, this is wrong. If your device has the ability run at 240-260fps in whatever game you are playing this monitor is awesome! There are also some game I play where I can’t get that high and the g-sync works great preventing any screen tearing. One thing to keep in mind is movies typically appear better on lower refresh rates, change the refresh rate to 60hz for a movie if you want.- The viewing angles on the monitor seem great. I view from a slight angle or head on and have had no issues.- The weight of the monitor is quite nice! It can as a surprise to me as the monitor is well priced but the stand has some good weight to it and doesn’t feel super cheap. The monitor itself is not too heavy and can tilt up and down with the mount given.- Now I am not someone who punches their monitor, so when it comes to its durability if you take care of it like you’re supposed to it seems like it’ll have no issues.Now on to somethings to keep in mind-This monitor is not an OLED nor does it claim to be, the HDR it provides is not true HDR and turning it on for regular use will worsen your image by dulling it out.-This monitor does not have speakers nor does it claim to have them. This is not a bad thing, but some people may not realize this.-The power button on the back is a little weird and right next to the settings adjustment, they are not similar in feel but I did accidentally turn it off while trying to adjust settings(human error).-the monitor will not come starting at 260hz, change it on the monitor and windows!To conclude the review, This monitor(especially if it’s on sale) is an amazing monitor spec wise with solid durability for the price. If you’re wanting this kind of monitor you know the risks you are taking going with a lesser known brand, but from my experience so far there is no more risk here than anywhere else! SANSUI has impressed me, pick one of these up and good luck!

EDIT UPDATE #2Unfortunately, Sansui was out of this particular model of monitor, so they offered to send me an upgraded version completely free of charge. (Old monitor was a 1080p, new monitor is a 2k). Not only did they upgrade me, they overnighted it. I didn’t ask for that. It’s just what they did.The ONLY “issue” I have with it, and it’s minor, the new monitor does not support DDC/CI Input Change requests, so I have to reach behind the monitor to switch inputs. I use my monitors on both my home PC and my work laptop, and it’s nice to be able to launch the BAT file to switch the inputs. Lazy? Probably. But when you have both monitors side by side, it’s hard to reach behind the left one, because the input button is kind of just out of reach when reaching under. But, it’s not a HUGE deal. I mean…they went above and beyond to make this right, so I’m more than happy.EDIT UPDATE #1Sansui reached out to me via this review almost immediately after it went live. I was able to reply back with a little more info, and by the end of the day (and it was a Sunday), they replied, offered to send me a replacement and DID NOT require me to send the old one back in order to not have to worry about shipping and repackaging. THIS is what customer service should look like. Everything remained very professional, and VERY prompt. They said they will get the new monitor shipping out within 3-7 days, and will send a tracking #. I upped my review to 3 stars (I would do 5, but I want the extra 2 stars to be reserved for when I get the new replacement monitor and will once again update this review). Folks, as bummed out as I was when my monitor died within 9 months (I have 2, only 1 died…it’s an electronic item…these happen), I am extremely happy to get this excellent, almost unheard of, customer service. I do hope they can get their website fixed, but this transaction was just as satisfactory to me.This monitor started out great! Love it. But, 9 months later, it now has lines across the screen at all refresh rates. I attempted to go to their website to contact support via their email form, which asks for all kinds of information, including a video and a photo, and the “XEC” code, which apparently is their version of a serial #. After filling that all out, including the video and the picture, I go to send it, and it comes back telling me incomplete info. I’ve tried it on 2 different browsers. You cannot submit a ticket on their website. I will attempt to call them as well, but I cannot return this because it’s past the return window.

I have been using this moniter for about a year now and felt compelled to make a review. I game on this moniter every day for several hours Call Of Duty and RPGs like skyrim and Oblivion just to name a few. I also work with this moniter using it as my main screen for work all day. Its amazing! I travel a bit for work and I actually take it with me sometimes! Its not super light or portable but man is it STURDY. I have been callous with it I must admit and it works beautifully with no issues just like I bought it yesterday. I cant afford an IPS curved screen moniter of this size so I went for this unit and model and man im not dissapointed. The value for money on this thing is legit, 100% worth it in my opinion, I dont see myself upgrading for several more years. Really impressed with this buy and you will not be dissapointed, on a side note the size and length of this specific moniter is such a sweet spot in my opinion, go for this size if you plan to use the moniter for both gaming and regular tasks!

The display quality is excellent — sharp resolution, vibrant colors, and a smooth refresh rate that’s great for both work and gaming. Whether I’m editing, designing, or just streaming content, it handles everything really well.The build quality is good. The menu navigation could also be a bit more intuitive, but once you set it up, it’s not something you deal with often.Ports and connectivity are solid, and I appreciate the thin bezels that give it a modern, sleek look. Definitely a strong option in its price range.Would recommend — just be mindful of the stand if you plan on using it right out of the box.

Really good quality from what I can tell. There’s clear consistent images when I play video games and smooth gameplay. The colours are really nice. I only wish the sound quality from the speakers was better. It sounds very dull and almost “far away” even on 100%. I’m not bothered by it too much as I mainly use Bluetooth headphones but if that’s not your jam I recommend using external speakers.
