Good device with a great price.
Good price and quality. My installation was complicated but I made it fit. Works good but the setup can be tedious. No cellphone app with this unit.
Great Smart Lock with Easy Setup and Reliable Access
This lock was easy to assemble and install. The physical buttons are a nice touch and look great, they make entering the code simple and accurate. The fingerprint option is a great feature and is super convenient and works smoothly. Programming it was straightforward, and the handle itself feels sturdy and works great. It’s been a great upgrade for our front door and has made coming and going much easier.
Great lock with much needed peace of mind!
Installation was very easy, setup was well explained in the directions as well as the video reference. Thus far, there haven’t been any operational issues; my brother was able to adjust to this lock without any further demonstrations. Thank the lord!Overall, this lock is user-friendly and has been so much simpler than others we have had. Provides security and peace of mind!
Extra parts required
I didn’t realize that this does not come with everything you need to use all of its features. Nowhere in the description does it mention that you also have to buy a wifi gateway to make the remote features work. Wish I had known this in advance but didn’t fully know until after I installed it. It is also not mentioned in the provided instructions. Install was pretty easy. I had a similar unit installed but it did not have remote capabilities. I got this Probrico unit specifically for that. Bluetooth connection was flawless and those features worked nicely. I like the voice prompts but seems silly that you can only hear them from the outside. Good quality, solid build. Comes with all the hardware you need for a clean install. The fingerprint recognition works a lot better than my previous unit which is appreciated. I like that I can control all the features from the app. So, then comes the wifi part. Adding a Probrico gateway will set you back like 60 to 70 bucks. No thanks. Some amazon searching led me to the AceFox G2 Gateway for TTLock which was only 23 bucks and is compatible. Once I got that and installed it, all the remote features have it working perfectly.
Very smart and easy to use!
I have installed various lock hardware before, so I have some experience, and I used this unit to swap out an old unit (so I didn’t have to do any drilling to get it to fit). It was a very easy install, and the instructions were clear. Installing took about 15 minutes with a screwdriver, and I was able to program it in 5 minutes. As promised, the lock can be maneuvered with a key, code, fingerprint or app. I chose not to use the app, so I cannot review its functionality, although the app does have great functions (like the ability to create temporary or timed codes to let guests or service workers remotely). The code functionality is easy to create (and you can create multiple codes), and works like a charm). The fingerprint access is also easy to set up – but can take a few tries to get it to learn a new finger – it can handle up to 50), but like most fingerprint readers does not have a 100% success rate. I really appreciate having a hard key as a backup. It takes 4 AA batteries, but I’m not sure yet how long it will last – although the unit does appear to conserve power wisely when not activated. Important – the unit comes with a set of matching door levers. While matching, they are not part of the lock and are simply to present a way to open the door when the electronic deadbolt is deactivated. I did not install these as my door already had a knob, although they are very nice quality as well.
Mid-quality lock that requires a proprietary app to program
This is an average keypad lock.It installed quite easily (since I already had a bolt at this location.)My gripe is the programming process. It requires a proprietary app along with the always irksome registration overseas remote servers in order to use the app. To add insult to injury, only a few of the functions can be programmed from the lock’s keypad – important ones like auto-lock feature, require you to use the app.The instructions are mostly good although they are unintentionally humorous in a few places such as placing the door hole cutting as a step late in the install process (as in AFTER the programming) instead of step one.The lock does come with a passage handle so that’s fine.

The flaw I found with this setup was that it wouldn’t connect to the app. I tried a couple of different ways according to the directions but it still did not work. I kept it at 5 stars because the app wasn’t needed for the lock to work. This was super easy to install and set up. From start to finish, it probably took 30 minutes but a little time was added because I had to get everyone to program their fingerprints.The lock opens automatically when you use a fingerprint or enter a code. The final option to unlock this door was using a key. The other downside I found with this system was the bottom door knob didn’t have a locking or key option so you are relying on the deadbolt to lock and unlock the door. Which is to be expected being it wouldn’t make much sense to unlock the deadbolt with a fingerprint and then have to use a key on the bottom lock. This system is completely keyless entry. I highly recommend this system as it was simple to install, the directions were easy to follow, and everything works as described.
