Puts a Google TV on the wall
I ordered this projector because I was looking for something which could project my phone’s screen to a wall or a large screen. This projector sort of does that with the Google Cast feature but since it is running the Google TV OS, you must have a Google account in order to use this projector. I could not find a way to bypass the set up without signing in to my Google account. To be clear, I could not find a screen share feature like Samsung’s ‘Smart View’ so I was not able to use this projector as a second screen for my phone. What I was able to do was use the Google Cast feature to play some files from my phone. The Google TV OS includes all the usual streaming apps and is designed to play them directly. There is an HDMI port and a USB port to connect a laptop or other device. I was able to access my files on the USB drive with the preinstalled media player app with no issues. Rereading the manual shows that screen mirroring is possible, but one must install an app from the Google store to do so. I did not install anything extra so no screen mirroring for me. I would be better pleased if that capability was already pre-installed, but it was not. Finally, the included power cord is too short to be of much use so plan on using an extension cord to power this projector unless one has a dedicated outlet withing six feet of where the projector will be located. I ended up using a tripod to project on a blank wall in my living room and the effect is really like having one’s own home cinema – this makes for a fantastic viewing experience when projected on a large enough wall, and I was pleased with the picture detail and auto-focus. For audio, I found it better to attach a Bluetooth speaker for richer sound, though the built-in speaker works well enough to hear. Once everything is set up it is easy to use to watch whatever streaming video is available. If one has a large enough screen, one can watch a movie outdoors with family and friends, unless everyone gets mired in deciding what to watch! 🙂

Great little projector, perfect for the bedroom, small hiccup during setup
As this is my first projector, I really don’t have a reference point to compare this projector to. That being said, I will do my best to give an honest, meaningful review that is hopefully useful to others in my shoes.First things first, The projector itself is slightly larger than I had expected, but still manageable and compact enough to place on a shelf without sacrificing too much space. As you can see in my included photos, I have my projector fairly awkwardly positioned due to current placement limitations. Regardless of my extremely peculiar positioning of the projector, a little fine-tuning of the keystone provided a perfectly rectangle picture on my bedroom ceiling. I’ve also included examples of the picture, one in a room with late afternoon light coming through closed shutter blinds and the other from my wife in a pitch black room after dark. I can confidently say that, with zero ambient light coming through the windows and all inside light sources turned off, this could convincingly pass for a ceiling mounted television. The remote is extremely intuitive as well, connected to the projector easily, and while there might be a little lag between selecting apps, the projector has been performing up to nearly all standards. The included speaker isn’t the greatest, which is to be expected, but at least you aren’t required to connect a bluetooth speaker to hear something, which is a huge plus in my opinion. The projector’s fans also don’t seem to be too loud during operation, though the unit does generate a bit of heat while watching programs, so a little bit of passive airflow from a window or nearby fan probably wouldn’t hurt.My only real complaint comes from an issue with initial setup; I was unable to complete setup easily through my phone. Because of this, I was required to manually enter my email and password for my Google account in order to get the projector connected to the network and fully functional. Not a huge problem, more of a Quality of Life issue, but not being able to complete setup through the QR Code was fairly frustrating. Not worth removing star, though I would give it a 4.5 if I could.Overall, I’d say this is a great starting off point for anyone looking to dive into the world of projectors. Definitely worth the price, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this one.

    Good Economical Projector
This is based on limited testing around the house. And this is the first projector I have ever acquired. Usually projectors are fairly pricey, but this item has a relatively low price, so it was time to get one. The picture and sound is not the greatest. Obviously this won’t compare to the output of an 4K TV, but this is a good option to get a bigger picture and better sound compared to a regular android phone.

Great projector, enhance movie night for little $
This is a good little projector for the price or just in general. I have never heard or happrun before. The brand is a solid contender in home projectors. Even with a crappy projector screen, the 1000ansi lumens makes it so this guy puts out a great picture. I wish i had a good screen with ALR technology to see the true beauty of this beast. It can get a little hard to watch during the day with lots of ambient light. Simply closing the blinds fixes that and makes it very watchable. The Google tv is very convenient. It saves you from needing any kind of streaming device. The built in speakers with Dolby audio are pretty good. Plenty loud, but if you are an audio enthusiast you will want something more. The size the screen can reach is huge. Even with a short throw distance. I went with a cieling mount to keep it out of reach of our out of control child and it is perfect. The autofocus and auto keystone work perfectly. We have not tried it outdoors, but I imagine it would perform on par with other 1000ansi projectors. This guy has really enhanced movie time and for a very reasonable price. Even pricing in accessories like the mount and screen. Still so much cheaper than a TV at even 1/4th the size. My son tried it with his ps5 for gaming. He had no complaints at all. In conclusion, it doesn’t matter how you intend to use this. For this price you can’t lose. Just buy it and enjoy. Highly recommend.

This is a really good quality projector that won’t break the bank. Outputs at 1080p (with support for 4K, though the image will still be 1080p), with some very vibrant colors and a sharp image. It lets you manually adjust the focus, which makes managing the distance to the screen very permissive. Also lets you manually adjust keystone settings. It can connect to netflix, prime, youtube and other apps with ease, and you can also connect devices that output to HDMI, as well as play files from a USB stick. From my tests, image quality was very clear and rich in colors and details. Text looks sharp and easy to read, and I didn’t notice color bleeding or any glaring issues so far.It has built-in speakers, but it also comes with a portable chargeable bluetooth speaker that you can place wherever is more convenient. Both sound quite decent. but the projector ]can also be connected to a sound system, so you can get a richer sound experience.Needs to be placed on a flat surface (or use a special mount I don’t currently have), and it includes a remote.Great for watching movies, projecting Halloween decorations, making presentations or projecting music videos at a party.

I am unable to review this projector. I have tried on 3 different power outlets and as well as flip the connector in the projector, but it did not work. When I press the power button on either the projector or the remote, all that happens is that I hear the fan spin for half a second. The blue led on the power button comes off during that time and then comes back on. This means that the projectors turns on and then switches off almost immediately. The display light does not come on at all. This projector does not work.

I’m reviewing this projector keeping in mind the price. For an entry level, budget projector, you really won’t do much better than this.It obviously performs best in very low light, but it’s watchable even when it’s not totally dark. The keystone correction and focus are both manual (with the remote), but another projector I had didn’t have any keystone correction at all, so I’m happy to have the option. The sound is pretty much what you’d expect from a budget projector. It does come with a seperate bluetooth speaker, but the sound quality from that isn’t great. I just paired this with one of my own bluetooth speakers and it works for what I need it to do.It has Netflix, Youtube, and Prime natively built in, and I was able to connect quickly and easily. There are some other apps available, but I didn’t recognize most of them, and to be honest, I don’t really need it for anything else. Disney+ and Crave are NOT available- you’d have to connect an external device to make those work with this.If you want this for a permanent set up or are a cinephile, you’d be disappointed. But if you just need a projector occasionally or are on a tight budget, you won’t go wrong with this.

I didn’t have high hopes for this product, but was pleasantly surprised. The device comes with everything you need, projector, external speakers and all the cords. The device is med/large size, not really travel friendly, but good for home. The image quality was much better than 1080P. I was actually shocked at how clear it was, when projected on the wall. The best thing about this device, is that it can be used for netflix, youtube and amazon video. But you need subscriptions to these services (except youtube). Its great it is its own stand alone entertainment system. The sound and audio quality was quite good. This device would be perfect if it was wireless. All the wires are hard to manage if you want to have a clean setup in your living space. Also the projector got a little hot when running for a while. Overall a great product that I was pleasantly surprised by.

  10. Amazon Customer

This projector really surprised me with how clear and vibrant the image looks. The 1080P resolution might not sound special, but it doesn’t miss out on any detail, especially when paired with a proper screen. I wouldn’t recommend this for daytime viewing, but it definitely looks best in a darker room. The built-in Dolby speakers sound good and are loud enough for most, though since the sound comes from the projector, which sits behind me, it can feel a little off at times. Thankfully, it includes a Bluetooth speaker that connects easily and gives a more natural, front-facing sound. I also like that Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video are already built in, making it easy to start watching right away, though you will still need the subscriptions. Overall, this is a great all-in-one projector that’s easy to use and gives a great home theatre experience on a budget.
