Always a great pickup
I’ve used this unit a few times. It’s An always decent and reliable power supply for budget oriented builds. Tier c on power supply tier list. This is a great pairing for any 250w graphics cards and ryzen 5 cpus. It runs quiet as I haven’t noticed the noise. Clean look and black cables. Highly Recommend.
Reliable and Efficient – MSI MAG A650BN Delivers
I recently upgraded my gaming setup with the MSI MAG A650BN Power Supply, and it’s been an excellent decision. This 650W PSU is 80 Plus Bronze certified, which was a major selling point for me. It means the unit is not only energy efficient but also reliable in power delivery, a crucial aspect for gaming rigs. The compact size of the MSI MAG A650BN is a big advantage. It fits easily into my gaming case, leaving ample room for airflow and other components. Despite its smaller size, it packs a punch in performance, handling my gaming load without any issues. The build quality is solid, giving me confidence in its durability and long-term performance. It runs quietly, even under load, which is a pleasant surprise and adds to a more immersive gaming experience.Another aspect I appreciate is the range of connectors and the length of the cables. They are sufficient for a clean and organized setup, allowing for easy cable management.Overall, the MSI MAG A650BN Gaming Power Supply is a top-notch choice for gamers or anyone building a PC who needs a reliable, efficient, and compact power supply. It offers great value for its features and performance, and I highly recommend it.
good value.
its not modular! but, it works well, quiet/silent. and good value.only has one daisy chained 8 pin connector, and one 8 pin cpu.so not something youd want to use on a component drawing 250w+or if you have multiple components needing 8 pin pcie.
Reliable Power Supply for the Price
So far, I’ve used this power supply in two builds, and it’s always worked well. It provides consistent power without issue, and the build quality appears to be long-lasting. Installation was simple, and the cables are functional. The only downside is that the cables could be easier to manage, but it’s not too bad. For the price, it’s a great choice that does what it should.
Can’t complain!
It does the job! My last power supply would shut off when bumped, I am very grateful that is over now. From what I can tell, the price to quality ratio is quite good for this (at least at the price that I bought it at on here) according to Zach’s PSU tier list at least.
Saved my computer
This saved my computer. The computer started to shut down randomly. I suspected many things: overheating, electrostatic, conflicting Windows updates, software, etc. It was extremely frustrating not knowing the cause of the problem, and it wasted a lot of time.I suspected it was the PSU at first because I knew PSU is the usual prime suspect to cause the computer to shut down randomly. But I was misled by some dubious signs to conclude it couldn’t be PSU.One big reason that misled me into excluding PSU was that the computer ran stably in the BIOS mode for a long time. So I thought it couldn’t be a PSU. The theory was that if it were, it would have the same problem whenever the computer was running, not just when the full Windows was loaded. Sounds reasonable, right? After having tried everything else to no avail, I finally decided to buy a cheap PSU to give it a try. I simply ran out of ideas. I was ready to abandon the computer anyway, so I bought this inexpensive unit to replace my original PSU, which cost nearly 3 times as much.Guess what? It was the PSU. After I replaced it with this one, the problem disappeared. I still can’t explain why the computer with the old PSU in BIOS was able to run stably without booting into Windows. Perhaps I didn’t run it long enough? Or perhaps the computer had a very different power consumption pattern when running in BIOS that the old PSU was able to support? Well, it doesn’t matter to me now. With this PSU as a cheap replacement, the computer is working with absolutely no power problems.
Great for the price. Is extremely quiet and sleek looking to. It’s the perfect psu for budget builds. It’s also pretty high quality from what i can tell
It is affordable psu but when I opened then realised that it came with European plug only, so had to source a UK plug lead for it. The wires are quite ugly and stiff, doesn’t look good inside pc, probably will have to purchase some sort of extension to look good.
Reliable and quiet power supplyThe MSI MAG A650BN is a solid 650W 80+ Bronze PSU that delivers stable power for mid-range gaming builds. It runs quietly, even under load, and the cables are nicely sleeved for better airflow and cable management. No issues powering a Ryzen 5 + RX 7600 setup. Great value for the price — reliable, efficient, and from a trusted brand.✔️ Silent operation✔️ Stable voltage and good efficiency✔️ Quality components from a reputable brand✔️ Perfect for budget to mid-range gaming PCsWould definitely buy again for a similar build.
