GET THIS CPU
At the moment it is extremely difficult to beat this cpu with price for performance, if you want a good mid-range cpu for gaming that can handle most popular titles including some that are fairly hard to run with over 60 (and sometimes 100+) frame per second then grab one of these. Very smooth desktop/general use experience, with just a little bit of computer knowledge setting it up is extremely easy whether you’re upgrading or building from scratch this is a great choice. The stock fan works well but is quite noisy so I would suggest upgrading to a noctua or something. I highly suggest looking into second hand 1080tis at the moment as they can be snagged for way cheap and they pair beautifully with this cpu.
Stellar price to performance ratio!
Bought used, came in original packaging and with the cooler. From the experience so far, I couldnt care less that it was used. Plays every game I care about pretty well, sometimes very well. Surprisingly powerful little cpu, especially at $50-60. Runs very cool. Feel a bit ridiculous using an AIO on it, BUT frankly I already had it and wanted to use it. I will give the aio an i9 or something in a couple years as a treat. For the time being, great little CPU that lets me game and live stream, once I optimized things a bit.

Solid, good for simple 3d animation in SFM and plays games just fine without overheating.The stock cooler is more than enough to keep it running smoothly.Doesn’t suck up too much power while idle or when in use.
Better than the Ryzen 5 5500!!!
I didnt expect much from an i3, but once again I was blinded by the label. This product holds the price to performance of a console KILLER. It’s single core power is up there with the ryzen 7000 series processors, supporting ddr5 ram at only 90 dollars WITH the cooler. Assuming your average cooler is about 10 dollars, you really can’t go wrong with an 84 dollar cpu capable of 500+ fps on minecraft, 300+ fps on valorant, etc.I will say though, a quad core cpu in 2023 is a bit questionable, since you’ll have extra issues streaming and recording games. The cache is also pretty low for this cpu, but you really can’t hate too much on a 90 dollar cpu at this magnitude of performance.Overall solid cpu, more than I need for games and editing. DONT BE BLINDED BY THE I3 LABEL, IT PERFORMS UP THERE WITH RYZEN CPUS AND 10TH GEN I7S!!!

This is running my home server without issue. I looked at my needs and bought this chip. It’s functional, fast, quiet, stays cool and I’ve had zero unplanned downtime.
Beginning of the year I bought a i5 13600 raptor lake architecture for 400 some dollars. It died last week due intels defective chip lines for the 13/14th gen chips. This little guy is amazing it runs my games so smooth, runs cool, and stable maybe intels last best thing before they get bought out for ruining the intel name. If your looking at a new gaming build go amd until intel gets bought out and new management runs the company. The Defective 13/14th gen chips will not be recalled and will not be refunded, there is a “patch coming out” who knows. I don’t and neither does intel. It’s really sad i’ve been a intel guy for 20 years and it’s come to this. RIP intel

Un rapport qualité-prix dur à battre.Le processeur dans cette version (f) n’embarque pas de chip graphique. Il faut donc acheter une carte graphique séparée.Cet I3 12100f n’a que quatre cœurs et huit threads, ce qui peut limiter ses performances dans des tâches plus lourdes comme le rendu vidéo ou le jeu de haut niveau.Il ne prend pas en charge l’overclocking, ce qui signifie que vous ne pourrez pas augmenter la vitesse d’horloge du processeur au-delà de ses spécifications de base.Mais à ce prix, il reste un choix solide pour ceux qui ont un budget limité et qui cherchent à construire une configuration de base sur la dernière plateforme Intel.
