A Tank of a Keyboard – Exceptional Build, Minor Software Issues
This is my first time buying a mechanical keyboard brand new, not secondhand off Amazon or eBay, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. I’ve used a few different keyboards before—starting with a wired Logitech, then moving on to a Keychron K1 Slim Profile. That one was fine, but the ultra-thin, chiclet-style keys made it a little tougher to get used to for long typing sessions. There was no real curvature to the keys, so it didn’t do much for muscle memory.I’m not super into the custom keyboard world, and I don’t know a ton about switches or keycap quality, but this thing blows every keyboard I’ve used out of the water. The standout feature? The build quality. The entire body is made of metal—something you almost never see in this price range. Most keyboards around this price point are plastic, plain and simple. The metal frame was 90% of why I bought it, and it did not disappoint. It’s got a solid weight to it and feels incredibly durable. This is the kind of keyboard that stays on your desk for years. I wouldn’t travel with it—way too hefty for that—but as a permanent setup piece, it’s perfect.Typing experience? Smooth and satisfying. The keys sound great—soft, muted clicks with none of the harsh clatter you might associate with mechanical boards. The default keycaps are a neutral tone that goes nicely with my setup (I’m using a white monitor currently), and while they’re not see-through, they still look clean and well-made.A few small drawbacks worth mentioning:• The included software didn’t recognize the keyboard at all on my system. That means I couldn’t customize anything—not even rebind the volume knob (which I believe is supposed to be customizable). This might just be a firmware thing, but it was frustrating.• The LEDs underneath the keys are okay, but the keys themselves are solid (not translucent), so the lighting doesn’t shine through the legends like it does on other boards I’ve used. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if RGB is important to you.Overall:If you’re looking for a high-quality, metal-frame mechanical keyboard without jumping into the $200+ range, this is absolutely it. It’s easily the best-built keyboard I’ve owned, and despite the software issues, I love typing on it. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
Quality and worth the price imho
The app you download to program macros and color sets isn’t the most beginner friendly, but outside of that this is a solidly built, hefty keyboard with a really nice sound. Very smooth, not too loud, and keystrokes are very responsive while either typing or gaming. The layout takes a little getting use to if you are only familiar with the standard full-size layout, but the benefits outweigh that by a long shot. So far the battery life has been great for me, but having the option to use it wired, wireless, or bluetooth really overrides battery for me personally.
Best full size thoky keyboard with a knob for around 100.
I’ve used Keycrons for years. Decided to try Epomaker. This keyboard THOKS. It sounds like marbles hitting together. Lower sound, not clicky where it’s like you’re hearing the metal braces below the space bar, or wiggling somewhere. None of that. Just solid, low thok sounds when typing. And really smooth key presses. And I like the rounded edges on the keycaps. They feel solid and have a little texture to them so your fingers don’t slide around. Not really into the salmon colored lettering, but no biggie.Software works fine, just have to use USB to get it to see your keyboard. It allows layers – which I guess are like profiles. So you can set up a layer to then put a bunch of macros assigned to keys, and then swap to another layer when you want a normal keyboard.Heavy, build quality superb.
Love the sound! WISTERIA LINEAR SWITCHES
I’m not really well versed in the keyboard scene, but I’ve been looking for a nice, affordable, hot swappable keyboard for my gaming set up and this was it! Before this, I was using the logitech keyboard from the aurora collection and I loved the lighting settings and it served its purpose. This keyboard however feels better when I’m typing and the sound is so much softer on the ears!! Whenever I’m bored I’m just using monkey type so I can hear the keys lol.In the picture, you’ll see I changed the keycaps to match my setup more, but the stock keycaps felt really good and were very easy to type on. I was also surprised to feel how heavy it is! It has a weight to it that makes the keyboard feel more high quality, and the aluminum makes it feel more durable. Connecting it to my computer was easy, I used a wired connection and tried the bluetooth, not sure about the wifi connection though.Literally, the only downsides I had were these: when swapping out the caps, the switches sometimes came with (just a little annoyance), and the software. The driver does not work on my pc as an app (it won’t allow me to upload the json file and cannot detect my keyboard), so if I ever want to change the lighting or keybinds I have to make sure I bookmark the link for my driver and use my browser to fix it…it also didn’t feel very user friendly at least for me, which again I’ve never really used any other keyboard drivers besides the logitech app for my previous keyboard. I also wish there was a way to personalize the lighting on it a little more! I ended up with the jellybean rain drops in the settings, but there’s maybe 10 presets and I haven’t figured out yet if there’s a way to make your own lighting patterns. If anyone has advice on that, please let me know :)Overall, I think for $100 – $120 this is a really great keyboard and I’m hoping there is some longevity to it as well. If you’re looking for an affordable option or to get into mechanical keyboards, I think this is a great way to start.
Rewelacyjna jakość wykonania. Ciężar sprawia że nie zawahałbym się użyć jej w samoobronie. Jedynie na pokrętło od dźwięku musiałem nałożyć gumę aby łatwiej było regulować.
Hands down the best keyboard I have ever owned. Coming from a full sized Logitech G915, that thing cost me £250. What a rip-off. This cost me £90 while it was on sale, and utterly humiliated my G915 in quality. Feels amazing, buttery smooth, tactile despite the linear switches, and sounds like typing on smooth pebbles or marbles. Its build quality is superb, weighs a ton so it doesn’t budge easily or slide on the desk, and is fully remappable via KVM software so those extra numpad keys are handy for macros.
Excellent mechanical keyboard, incredible feel with the soft gasket mount.Note that the marble white switches are quite light, some people love this, I don’t.I’ve replaced the switches for gateron milky yellow pro and the keyboard is now an absolute joy to use, and is even more quiet than stock but still has a got deep subdued thock.I absolutely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a full keyboard with numpad, they are rare and this is the one for sure. The keyboard also weighs 2kg, which really helps with the sound and feel.
The only problem with this keyboard, it’s that it doesn’t have a right control key. Overall it’s a great keyboard. It’s heavy. I mean the body is aluminium the key caps sound good. Is it value for money? The price is steep. It hangs around the middle. I wouldn’t call it value for money, but on the flipside, I wouldn’t call it bad either. When it comes to the RGB. It’s nice, but I have found some weird aspects to it. It’s bright enough. You can turn down the brightness. Looks great for gaming purposes. I would give it 8/10
