Probably the best power supply maker out there. They do go above and beyond.
For the record, I am reviewing the: Corsair HX1000i Fully Modular Ultra-Low Noise ATX Power Supply – ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 Compliant – Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan – CORSAIR iCUE Software Compatible – 80 Plus Platinum Efficiency – BlackThis is my third Corsair power supply. The first died in my other system after about 3 years. I then purchased one that was slightly more powerful and it has lasted more than 10 years and still running. I think that Corsair goes above and beyond when they put their packages together, you get all the cables you could ever need, and then some. The I have two bags full of extra cables that I am holding on to just in case I ever change things. I have to check from time to time to make sure the fan is working on the PW Supply, as it only comes on once in a while. I guess I have over killed my system with power but since I am running a really nice video card and a whole bunch of fans, I added everything up and then added an extra 100 watts just for safety. I don’t want to over tax my system and then burn it out. This this saves me power by not using it unless it is needed. I love the per-wraped cables, and cable management is not bad with these as they do bend easily. The quality of all the connectors is top notch and I have not had a single cable go bad or have any problems. Installation was simple, and I love it.I don’t think you can go wrong with a Corsair PS. Just do the math and make sure you get the correct one.

High performance, highly efficient and very quiet.
I upgraded from a Thermaltake 600W PSU, which was struggling to cope with my hardware needs due to a mixture of mechanical, SSD and M.2 NVME drives coupled with a 6700XT and a Ryzen 5900x processor.Despite my new RTX 4070 graphics card consuming less power than the previous 6750XT an upgrade was due. I initially intended to opt for the 850 RMx series. However, I’m extremely satisfied with my choice of the 1000HXi, which provides extra capacity. The power supply installed in my Thermaltake Core V21 case very easily without any reconfiguring. My PC, equipped with a Ryzen 5900x, is an occasional gamer but primarily used for running VMs and containers, meaning it’s on for a significant part of the day. Although this PSU may have a higher upfront cost, its superior efficiency rating will eventually lead to savings compared to less efficient 850 RMx PSU I was initially considering. Both have a lengthy warranty period worth considering in your decision-making process. However, the extra headroom and efficiency were deciding factors for me.Advantages of this PSU include:Plenty of powerThe Zero DB fan, which is my top feature. Its internal components are of excellent qualityFull modularity is a major plus. Many reviews rank it as an A-tier power supply. While I didn’t require the iCUE software, it’s a nice bonus. It’s also somewhat future-proofed with ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 ratings. On the downside:No instructions were provided, and the QR code on the box for the manual didn’t work. Also, the cables are somewhat rigid, but they still seem to be of high quality. In conclusion, I would wholeheartedly endorse this PSU and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it again.

    Super high quality
This was exactly what I was hoping for, but it was short one cable for my GTX 5090 graphics card. 3 of the 4 cables were exactly right, but the fourth had a pigtail on it that I couldn’t hide, but seemed to function fine.

Great Power Supply with Silent Operation, ICUE Control, and a 12v Video Power Cable
This power supply not only looks great but it works even better. The modular design is what you want for your build so as to not have a bunch of extra wires hanging out in your case. It even has the 12v power cable for the new video cards. Plus you can even use the included USB-C to USB 2.0 header cable to enable viewing stats and controlling fan speed and curves via the Corsair ICUE Software. In order to use this feature, however, you will need a free USB 2.0 Header on your motherboard. For me I had to purchase a Corsair USB 2.0 4 Port Hub as well as a SATA Extension Cable to accomplish this. Those are super easy to install and relatively inexpensive. Overall I really like this power supply but I may be a bit biased having used Corsairs in most of my builds. Do I recommend it? That would be a yes!

    This is a great PCU
I’ve had this thing in my computer for about 6 months now. Have not had any issues with it. This power supply was way bigger than I was anticipated going into my case but it fit just fine and I believe my computer is not even using a quarter of the power that this PCU generates for my computer

    Showed Up Fast, Seems Reliable
Showed up fast, hear corsair PSUs are pretty reliable, came recommended from a friend. Paired with a 5090 and 9950X so I have a pretty power hungry system. Had an ASUS 1000W previously which started going out before I put in the 5090 just after 2 years of use. Hope to get many years out of this one. So far so good.

Best Power Supply I have used.
The Corsair 1000w power supply is a high-performance, fully modular power supply that stands out for its reliability and ultra-low noise operation. The compatibility with ATX 3 and PICE 5 makes it future-proof. I assembled an i9-14900kf PC along with a 4090 video card for a computer needed to do 3D rendering. One of the key features of this power supply is its building quality. The fully modular design simplified cable management, reducing clutter and improving airflow within the case. The power supply has been stable and efficient; with a platinum certification, it guarantees high efficiency, low energy consumption, and reduced heat. The noise level while running CAD applications has been very low when running medium loads.Overall, the Corsair power supply has been an excellent choice, and I would recommend it to anyone building a high-end system.

I’m really happy with this PSU. I bought it to replace my 14 year old AX850 power supply which was still working. I wanted a new power supply that had a 12VHPWR connector for my new 4070ti instead of using the adapter harness that came with the GPU. And I thought it was time to replace that aging power supply.I used this PSU in a Fractal North case and the new PSU is a bit longer than the previous AX850. Not much but enough that tucking in extra cord length behind it was difficult at times. However, it all worked out in the end.I wish the cables were individually sleeved. I had bought some individually sleeved cables with my AX850 but they wouldn’t work with the HX1000i as the latter is Type 4 cables and the AX850 is not. So I’ll have to buy a sleeved cable kit or at the minimum a couple of sleeved cables that you can see through the cases windowed panel.Overall, a good power supply that is quiet and so far has been very reliable just like its older brother.

La compré para mi gaming pc ya que tengo un i9 y una 5080 y combinados jalan bastante poder. Está fuente tiene para eso y más! OJO sólo asegúrate que tengas suficiente espacio en tu gabinete porque es ligeramente más grande de lo común.

  10. RiceEater

I like the 12WHR pin and the CPU cable has 2 attachments connected which works well for modern boards because motherboards nowadays needs 2 x PCI-E.Helpful for cable management.Has enough power to power a 4090 and Ryzen 7950x3d so no complaints. Should be good for a 8090 even since total power draw doesn’t seem to even get close to capping out at the 1200w on the psu.

  11. HappyTotter

El cable ATX de 24 pins tenía un error de fábrica, haciéndolo imposible de conectar, tuve que comprar un remplazo, fuera de eso el producto es lo que es.

  12. MD

Easy to install. Great power supply. No issues. Highly recommend if 1000W PSU is required.
