Blink outdoor 2, great value security device. Great 2 pack deal
Great deal and device. Better than having to pay for a subscription with other security cameras. Works well and the phone app is great for seeing your home and locking/unarming the security. The recordings are great and capture the field of vision well. The day and night modes are very good and the audio is great for the device size. The connection is good and will alert you if any device isn’t functioning so you can check on them and see what’s wrong. I will buy more in the future when I get a bigger home or even for in house use. The cameras have to be applied with screws so if you’re putting it outside on block you can buy an external addaptor that has better sticky securing allowing more versatile placements.

A Fantastic Security Camera at a GREAT Price!
I love these Blink camera and this was our 4th one. Setup is quick and easy for my husband and the picture quality is amazing, especially the night vision. You can see the quality in my posted pictures. In the night view picture you can see in the bottom left one of our nightly visitors, a raccoon. The motion alerts can be set to your desired sensitivity. I can check everything from my phone as soon as I’m alerted. I love that it’s wireless, so no drilling or having to deal with cords. We’ve never experienced a wireless connection issue. Your Blink app alerts you when you have high battery usage so you can adjust. It gives us peace of mind, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, reliable security system.

Great outdoor camera for remote applications
This is the 4th brand of camera installed on the top of a street sign to monitor the condo’s entrance gate. The first two brands worked for a short period and then kept losing wifi connection randomly. Next I tried cellular camera and while it worked satisfactorily, the cost of the cellular service plus the manufacturer’s cloud storage plan was over $300.00 per year. The cellular camera used a solar panel to keep the proprietary internal battery charged. After extended periods of cloudy days, the battery would need to be replaced, requiring keeping a second battery and proprietary charger. Initial investment in this camera, solar panel, spare battery and charger approached $500.00. The Blink Outdoor camera plus a Blink wifi extender cost just over $100.00 and runs on two AA batteries. The video quality is just as good as the cellular camera and the cost for it’s cloud storage was $40.00 per year. The Blink camera was much, much easier to get set up and running and the phone app allows for many more options on field of view, type of motion to detect and can allow multiple phones to monitor the camera. I can’t comment on the battery life since the camera has only been in service for 1 week. I have removed and reinstalled the batteries after setting up the camera to verify that none of the camera settings would have to be re-done. All three of my previous cameras would randomly lose their wifi or cellular settings when changing batteries. The other cameras that did not work well for my application may be just fine for other uses. I needed an inexpensive camera that could function 300′ to 400′ from the closest home wifi router. The Blink Outdoor 4 appears to be the best product for this application.

    4.5/5 Stars
There is a lag between trigger detection and video recording beginning so that actual first movement isn’t recorded the subject is caught;roughly 3 feet from were it triggered the recording to start.I got the cameras on sale for a pretty decent price, so I would say based off what I paid they are a truly great value. But honestly I would say my mother’s Arlo cameras are a overall better buy for their quick response times and great clarity. The basics of the app is pretty simple and easy to understand and use, however some of the more advance settings/functions of the app will definitely take a little getting use to and that’s coming from someone who has a pretty decent understanding of security cameras… Like I’m not going to say that it’s complicated it’s just different then the app and OS I am use to running on my other cameras. The brightness isn’t to bad during the day unless you have a large room with multiple different light levels like bright sun, lamps, and shadowed corners the the image and brightness gets a lot take choppy. The overall functionality and ease of use and quick easy set up and activation of the entire camera system took maybe 20 minutes to sit up 3 cameras and connect to all my different monitors and find the angles that I wanted the cameras set… But to be honest if I wasn’t waiting on my slow ass wife to give me her two cents worth on it and okay the adjustments because you know how women have to “Do Everything or have their hands in it all and their input … but hey, happy life happy wife.Over all I would truly rate these cameras a 4.5/5 stars. The biggest negative is the paid subscription is pretty much necessary for the cameras overall functions. Which is currently $3 for a single camera system or $10 for umam unlimited camera system which is pretty fair for what they offer.
