The Bark Watch is a cellular device that requires cell coverage for call and text features. Check our coverage map to make sure your area is covered by Bark.

What type of watch is the Bark Watch?

The Bark kid’s smart watch is a Schok Chronovolt CV16. We designed it with safety and durability in mind, providing features like GPS location tracking, contact management, and an emergency SOS button, for parents’ peace of mind.

How does the SOS emergency feature work?

There’s a button on the watch that will allow your child to quickly contact you or 911 when you press it in certain orders.

Does a Bark Watch have to be connected to a Bark Phone to work?

Nope! The Bark Watch is a standalone device with its own phone number, talk & text, and other features. There’s no need to purchase a Bark Phone when you’re buying the Bark Watch.

How is the Bark watch different from other kids’ smart watches?

The Bark Watch stands out from other watches because of our advanced content monitoring that comes built-in. Our software automatically scans texts, photos, and videos for dangers and sends you an alert if something concerning is found.

Amazing watch for kids connecting to parents
As a parent of three, I can’t say enough good things about the Bark Watch. My oldest is getting to that age where independence is important, but I still want to know they’re safe — and this watch makes that possible. 💛The setup was super easy, and I love that it has location tracking, safe messaging, and even call features without giving them full access to a smartphone. It gives me total peace of mind knowing where they are and being able to reach them anytime. The design is sleek and comfortable, and my child actually wants to wear it, which is a huge win. 🙌 The battery life has also been impressive — it easily lasts through busy school days and after-school activities. If you’re looking for a safe first step before a phone, the Bark Watch is worth every penny. It gives your child some freedom while keeping you connected and in control. Highly recommend!

  2. ‘Incontinentia Buttocks’

    Good value and quality
This is perfect for young child or child of special needs. Enough for them to feel like their peers to have a phone but nothing on it to put them in danger. Love that she can reach me at anytime as well as I can track her at anytime. Battery lasts 6:15am till 3:30pm. It also has girly accessories as well as screen covers you can buy on Amazon which make the watch better. It’s easy to use and easy to set up. Best buy this year!

Great smart watch for elementary age kids
I’m really pleased with the Bark Watch. It’s very easy to use, and I appreciate the built-in safety features – no internet or social media access, the ability to track location, and control over contacts. The texting feature can be a bit tricky due to the tiny keyboard, but my son works around it by sending audio messages instead. The included watch band isn’t the most durable- it broke fairly quickly – but we were able to find stronger replacement bands at a low cost.Overall, I’d definitely recommend it for kids in mid-to-late elementary school.

⭐️ EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED!! ⭐️
I’m so glad we got the Bark Watch for my 6 year old. Setup was quick and I had it working in just a few minutes. The GPS is really accurate and updates fast, which gives me peace of mind when my child is at school, activities, or even just playing outside. I love that he can call or text me anytime, and I can reach him right away too.It feels like the perfect step before a phone. There are no distracting apps, just the safety features we actually need. The watch is comfortable, my son likes wearing it, and it’s held up through playground time and even getting splashed with water. The battery lasts all day with no problem. As a mom, it gives me so much peace knowing he has a safe way to stay connected. If you’re looking for a first device that’s both kid friendly and parent approved, this is it.

  5. The Taala Girls

    Five Stars for Bark
As a mom, my top priority is keeping my kids safe online while still giving them the independence they need, and the Bark Technology Watch has been an absolute game-changer! Unlike other smartwatches, Bark gives me peace of mind with its built-in parental controls, real-time GPS tracking, and safe messaging features. I love that I can easily monitor my child’s activity without being overly intrusive, and the fact that it filters content and alerts me to any concerning messages or searches is a huge bonus. The setup was super easy, and my child loves wearing it—it’s stylish, comfortable, and gives them the feeling of having a “grown-up” smartwatch, without the risks that come with unrestricted internet access. The call and text features allow them to stay connected with me and approved contacts, which is perfect for school, playdates, and after-school activities.

Total first day startup cost (without a phone number to PORT): $449 so be prepared.
Great ideas for a child’s first device. Works, sends and receives and relatively easy to set up.What you should know:The Bark watch was $170, and free shipping, also, You pay $99. to Bark for a years service plan paid in advance.I did not understand at first if your child does not have a phone plan or number to port, it’s $15. a month for a phone plan through Bark ($15. A month) $180. a year. Thats $279. EVERY year to Bark! Total first day startup cost:$449 so be prepared.

  7. STEVE RYAN BAUTISTA

Best option to keep tabs on kiddies than giving them a cellphone ✨
Works as described: Calling, texting our son after school, keeping tabs on location through GPS… My son even started keeping track of his steps, which is a feature that motivates him… Set up was straight forward & uncomplicated… Battery life could be better… No available App on Android/Google Store, but hopefully that’ll change in the near future…..

    A great way to start!
What a fun way to introduce responsibility and technology to our 11 year old. The questions of “why can’t my friends have my number so I can text them” or “why can’t I have social media on this” open up great conversations about safety, boundaries, and awareness. Transitioning from the watch to the phone someday will be smooth and continue to provide the peace of mind. We have no landline so the 911 feature is fantastic. Area for improvement – battery life is a bit disappointing. We have to charge it every night. It’ll be at 100% at 7am and by 5-6pm it’s at 11%. I know usage plays into battery drainage as well. Regardless, I’d still purchase this watch again!
