Good for light CAD and Video editing
I was struggling with my old laptop. I am not a big PC gamer, but I do some lightweight CAD work, and occasional video editing. My old PC was having nervous breakdowns when I pushed it a little bit, so I went looking…This is a big improvement for my current needs from my previous MS Surface computer. I have had zero problems with lag when navigating a Sketchup file and with my brief video editing. Battery life is more than satisfactory and I have no issues at all with heat. It has some system that tells me what to do to optimize for performance or heat – I really haven’t figured that out yet, but seems good.I connect it to my mouse/keyboard/monitor using a Dell docking station (USB-C). It seems to run fine on that, and charge, but it tells me that it would perform better with it’s own power supply. I have never had an issue with power in the month since I got it.It was definitely a good deal when I got it. Note sure how much the price fluctuates. Pore power than I need, and the screen is so good that I find myself forgoing by 34″ plug-in wide screen.I can’t comment on the hard-core gaming value, as I don’t do that, but it seems quite solid.
DO NOT HESITATE! Awesome laptop!! Honestly…
Been using this for a little over a week now, the RTX 5060 performs superb! The screen is beautiful! Especially for being a laptop screen compared to an OLED display or monitor, it looks GREAT, the colors and overall image are very sharp lookingAll of my games( AAA titles or otherwise) run at high or ultra settings with high frame rates and no stutter! Going to be upgrading ram and storage down the lineRuns GTA V Enhanced on High RT over 100fps in most scenariosI’ve also run Warframe with the “high preset” and runs over 120fpsit looks beautiful and performs beautiful! I’m very picky when it comes to frame rate/graphics(coming from an avid desktop user…I have high expectations)and this laptop performs as good or better than it looks! I’m impressedThe speakers aren’t super impressive, and aren’t super loud or anything I wish they were a little better, but they’re not terrible by any means, just not super LOUD, most gamers would probably be using a headset anyway for voice chat/streaming/gameplay anyway…don’t let this steer you away, this is a great laptop despite not having “the best sound system in the world”I Don’t notice any excessive fan noise or overheating issues of any kindI’m using it everyday for gaming and I can’t leave it alone! When I have lan parties at friends houses, my trusty machine comes with me!I’m always excited to open the lid, plug it in and start gaming! The RGB lighting is gorgeous! It’s also fun to show off to friends and family ;)I’ve owned many gaming laptops over the last 12 years or so, this is my second machine with an 5060 in it, and this one has been my favorite! Better than any of the rest!
Good laptop gaming
Just got a new laptop and it’s seriously amazing! The performance is way better than I expected. It’s super fast, whether I’m working or unwinding with some games. I’ve already put it to the test with a bunch of tasks, and it hasn’t skipped a beat. Definitely a great upgrade!

Excelente opción. Es un equipo ligeramente más pesado en comparación con otros, pero esto se justifica plenamente por su rendimiento y características. En general, un producto de excelente calidad.
Excellent but for loud, loud fans
Years ago I had a very expensive MacBook Pro that eventually baked itself to death due to grossly inadequate CPU cooling (no fans, just vents thru the keyboard). I vowed, “never again! Henceforth my laptop shall always feature powerful fans!”Careful what you wish for. While the ROG G750JZ I owned immediately after the MacBook was perfect, cooling-wise, with powerful but not deafening fans, my new Strix G16’s fans are way, way too loud.If you don’t live with other people or otherwise do your gaming (and other fan-triggering computations) in isolation, then put on good noise-isolating headphones and don’t worry about it. But, if you do game in mixed company as I generally do, be advised: this machine will irritate others when those fans kick in.That’s the bad news, bad enough to dock a star. The good news is, I love almost everything else about this machine. The display is simply gorgeous. Performance is crazy-good. It’s a compact and medium-weight machine (unlike my beloved G750 which was, admittedly, a boat-anchor).And, the Strix G16’s “tool-free upgrade” feature makes it super easy to swap out RAM and SSDs: just unlatch and slide off the bottom case cover and there they are. One caveat, though: the instruction manual recommends first disconnecting the battery, which requires you to essentially field-strip the machine using a screwdriver (!!) before adding or removing RAM or SSD’s — clearly there were competing visions between engineering teams at play at Asus. But, people, including me, seem to be ignoring this advice without mishap! The only other negative for me with the G16 besides noise is the touchpad, which supposedly doubles as a numeric keypad. Personally I detest touchpads, because I always, always, always accidentally bump or brush them with my wrists when typing, causing the cursor to jump around. So, on any laptop I use, this is always the first thing I disable. With the G16, that means losing the numeric keypad, because the physical keyboard lacks one. This is a baffling design choice for a gaming laptop — historically, the numeric keypad has been an important game control in some titles. And yet, this hasn’t been an issue for me so far when playing Disco Elysium, Baldur’s Gate 3, and other recent games — maybe game designers nowadays depend on these less —so for now at least this is just a quibble. If I ever do need a physical numeric keypad, USB & bluetooth keyboards are cheap enough. In summary, I find my 2025 Strix G16 to be a powerful, compact, and beautiful-graphics-delivering laptop. I just try not to use it around other people when I’m doing anything that turns those loud fans on.
I needed a powerful laptop for engineering. Compared to other gaming laptops, the Asus ROG is more premium and compact, making it more enjoyable to use. So far, no issues.
War machine, playing all sort of games on wide screen monitor on high graphics level, additionally put fan stand below. Works very well, decent laptop for price 🔥🔥🔥
