Apple 2018 Mac mini Core i5 3GHz 32GB RAM 256GB SSD MRTT2LL/A

Good budget product.
I temporary lent my M4 mini to my parents when their Windows based mini-pc wouldn’t work properly. Since it was temporary I ended up choosing the 2018 Mac Mini with an 8th gen i5, 8GB Ram, and 256GB SSD. Ideally I wanted a M1 model but I was not willing to pay $257-300 just to use as a media center. If Apple TV came with a browser I’d probably just go with that but we need browser access. The product itself arrived quickly and packaged decently. Mix and match box but that doesn’t really matter. There were some stickers on the Mac and some other red sticky residue. Nothing hard to clean with access to isopropyl alcohol.I was worried about a 7 year old device not being fast enough for our basic usage but was thoroughly surprised. For my parents they can’t tell the difference between the i5 vs M4. So plus one for the performance. I did upgrade the ram myself to 64GB of RAM due to having plenty in my iMac.Apple quality always impresses and all the software needs are compatible with this 7 year old device.I do recommend this device for anyone buying it around $160 or less. To us this performs better than our N5105 NUC for overall performance. WiFi does not have issue compared to the 6900HX in my Beelink PC.

Exceeded expectations
These old mac minis still have *plenty* of life in them! Worked flawlessly right out of the box, no jank, no slowdowns, in great physical condition too. Specs exactly as advertised. Incredible for this price. Used it for a few hours, will update my review if anything comes up in the next few weeks.Came installed with MacOS Sequoia.

Great for Price and Age
I bought this to go with my monitor I got as a gift. I upgraded it to a newer version of macOS. The sequoia works pretty well. I will say there has been a few glitches on my screen. It will glitch out of nowhere or it will turn the screen off and then come back on. Sometimes when I turn the Mac mini on after turning it off, my wallpaper isn’t the same as what I set it to on my lock screen, but that might just be me. Overall, I love it so much and have worked with iMacs for four years, so being able to use a Mac mini for less money than an iMac and even bigger monitor for less money, is so worth it. It does not overheat as some people say, it only gets warm. It can be quite loud when it comes to the vents but I don’t mind it at all. It is big in size so if you have a small desk, get a stand for it like I did, and it will work so good. Also, if you have a wired keyboard and a usb mouse, and a monitor without a camera, definitely get a usb hub so that you can plug everything in. I have no clue if the speakers work well, simply because my speakers are connected to my monitor. I will say, you kind of have to go into everything and manually turn down the volume on whatever software/website you are using/on. I have my monitor volume pretty low, but if you have like YouTube open, definitely turn the volume down because it blasts it. I don’t know if that’s just me though. I love this a lot though, definitely get it if you’re looking for cheaper options. I don’t expect it to be super quick with speed when loading seeing as it is an older model. I will definitely update if anything is to happen. Lastly, it is such an easy set up!

Good but Bad
This was a great Mac. The thing is, after 2 weeks it barely can load or do anything. I want to return this, but I don’t know if there’s any windows pc that’s cheap enough.

Nice and compact, but powerful processor

Attention faut un minimum de 1600×900@60Hz pour l’écran jme ramasse avec un ordi que jpeux pas utiliser a cause de ça jviens de dépenser pour un ecran pour rien. Ma le revirer tant qu’à avoir un ordi que jpeut pas me servir.

el equipo viene bien, solo con un rayón imperceptible en el marco, creo que por el precio es una excelente opción low budget
