Great utility for the price. Tried using this to move files off my phone and into my new PC. Both ports seem to work just fine. Recycled an old micro SD card from a thrown away track phone to test. Even formatted a backup windows 10 ISO onto it. Worked just fine. Only thing to keep in mind is to take off the case to your phone before inserting it. And the stick itself won’t hold any memory.

Does what it says and works well
I’m a hobbiest photographer and one of my workflows now is backing up photos from my camera to Lightroom either on my phone or iPad whenever I can throughout the day and borrow wifi when at lunch/coffee to sync photos. To do this, I need a fast usb-c SD card reader that I can use to copy photos. Acer’s always been a quality brand to me and I can use this to quickly offload photos onto my phone/tablet via usb-c. Zero issues with cards being recognized. Doesn’t get warm to the touch even when offloading >25+ gb of photos.The price is fair and if it breaks/gets lost/borrowed from a friend and never returned, I won’t be upset and will gladly buy another one.

Type A &C
My new laptop like so many are lacking USB ports, both in the a and the c. This unit handles SD cards with or without the carrier. This unit also has both a type a and a type c connector. It looks like it’s just the ticket to easily store in the corner of my laptop case, and provide my necessary features, when needed. Looks to be durable. Looks to work well. My suggestions: a little lanyard for each of the caps. These look like they could be lost easily. Also, my 72-year-old eyes have some difficulty seeing the small picture, showing the orientation for inserting the card
