Recommended. For the $$ it is a good smart thermostat with lots of features.
This is an easy to install and use wifi thermostat. As long as your system has a “c” wire it works very well. The only thing that is a bit of a draw back that I have noticed is it’s screen is bright at night (good if it wasn’t in the hall facing my bedroom. It literally almost illuminates the bedroom, a display dimming feature would be nice). The functions are as any thermostat would be. Fan on, fan auto, heat, cold, and range (thing that is troublesome with this feature is if you set the house to 68 at night and 71 during the day, once it gets to 68, if it dips below that it turns on the heater and vise versa. But I suppose it has to do that to keep the temp range. I usually just set the cool for sleeping and if needed heat for waking manually. Wifi is good, app is good, has some good features, like daily routines (wake up, one temp, leave for work, off, get home temp…). It does not have a motion sensor like fancy ring thermostat but this is about 1/2 the price of those. It has a separate room remote sensor (that was a little hard to set up and I don’t actually know if it is working) but if it is working, you take it with you to the room your in and the hvac will set the temp for that room so your comfortable. Not sure if it works or not.Overall: recommended, easy install, good functionality, easy to use, easy to learn, good bright display (maybe to bright at night for me), easy to use app.PS: this is sold as a Bluetooth thermostat. But I haven’t gotten any Bluetooth functionality out of it. Probably user error. Will read the manual again….

Don’t buy. Waste of money and time
Very hard to program. Still not sure about timing of temp settings, from sleeping temps to wake temps. Install was quick and painless. This thermostat has a mind of its own. I will be reinstalling my old one.

You need 5 wires from the furnace.
It’s a very nice design and the app works well. Please know you need 5 wires coming from your furnace. Make sure you can wire a “C” wire from the furnace if you only have 4 wires coming to your current thermostat. Older furnaces may not be compatible with this thermostat.

Does Not Average Temperature
The reason I bought this thermostat was because it had a sensor. My basement gets freezing and my upstairs gets hot. It was supposed to average the temperature between the thermostat display and the sensor in the basement. But when you connect the sensor it only uses the temp from that and does not average. Kinda bummed about that. Will probably send back.

Can not recommend for 6 wire got a/c & heat at same time –
After much attempt to get this to work properly – i must conclude this doen not work with 6 wire setup .. odd as all the correct wire terminals are there – switching the internal mode switch did not change the result in our case which was that in a/c mode it would start off cold and then become a mix of heat and cold togther.. we have honeywell tstat using C , W, W2 , Y, G, R with jumper .No matter what i tried with this unit i could not get a/c to blow cold – i even compared the heat pump lettering to the honeywells alternative lettering and made some swaps based on them not matching up as to which wire was auxiliary. Unsure of there is internal issue with mine of if it just is nit compatible with 6 wire- to be fair 6 wire is Not specified – i beleive 4,5, 7& 8?? Were and since it had the corresponding terminals for our 6 wire system i just assumed it would work – this did not pan out- so it may be that it just is not compatible? While hooked up iust say i didnt like the app interface at all – every change was real time – not set and save type – i felt it was hard to just look around and get to know the app while it was changing things – this was occuring even when trying to set scheduling for future times!?!? Unclear if i was actually scheduling properly. Gave up on this as i was worried damage was being done switching so quickly when in the app and due to opposing systems running simultaneously. Tried this on two occasions in both modes and alternate wiring with same results each time a/c and heat at same time . Reached out but was unable to resolve the isue .
