I recently had the opportunity to test the Gigastone Enterprise SSD 2TB NAS SSD, 2-pack in my home office setup. Hidden gem!
With SATA SSD’s there’s a lot of confusion on making a choice of which one to get. I have this Gigastone game pro a chance, and it is every bit as good as a Samsung SATA SSD. I’ve gotten both, tested both, and there is virtually no difference except the price. This is great for a gamer that downloads and deletes, then rewrites fairly often because of the SLC cells. Rewriting a lot is what kills an SSD over time. Personally I don’t do a lot of rewriting so it should last a long time. I put the latest 1tb Gigastone Game pro in a PS4 to replace the HDD. It’s worked out great. Also have a 1tb Gigastone Game Turbo in another PS4 and can’t tell the difference between game pro and game turbo.

One of the two pack failed within 48 hours
I decided to give Gigastone a try, one of the two pack failed within 48 hours. I reached out to their support email as instructed on their website and it’s been crickets for over a week. I was not super upset that I got a bad drive, sometimes bad drives make it out of the factory… but the radio silence on the attempt to RMA this drive is more than enough for me to never try anything from Gigastone again, and to recommend that no one else considers their products.Stick to a main brand. I replaced both of these with Kingston drives that were $10 less than Gigastone.

Works great.
I didn’t realize how small theses things were. It’s really been decades since I’ve played around with upgraded my computer on my own but I figured I’d do a bargain build and at first I just used the old hard drive I had but soon realized that anymore even 150 gbs isn’t enough.This was super easy to replace and hooked right up with no problems. I do have a Windows USB that I had used for the fresh install on my old HD that worked just as well getting Windows on this one.I had heard how much faster these load than the old type of HD and they weren’t kidding. So far I’ve been very happy with my purchase and now I wonder why I was so hesitant to buy a newer HD considering it’s really not that much money.

You might think that all SSDs are created equal. They’re not – some very popular slightly cheaper models (looking at you Kingston) can really slow down when under continuous load. Had a small Window server running with dual-SSDs in RAID-1, performance was awful. Replaced with these Gigastone drives and speed is consistently fast.
